I had sweet intentions to regularly record my voice changing on testosterone and here we are, almost a year and a half later with another instalment. Better late than never?

It's been a strange and beautiful journey trying to accept that I need to be patient. Patient for my little bod that's trying its best to soak up all the testosterone I'm feeding it, patient for the changes and the growth I'm experiencing throughout my transition. And perhaps the delay in recording something has highlighted the fact I've found that patience. As I've spoken about before, the changes in my voice have been both thrilling and terrifying at times. Music was my whole world for a long time and it's been strange to feel it wander off for a while. I haven't felt compelled to write or create music and of course, as soon as I accepted that it may never come back to me, I felt the tingling in my hands and songs started forming again. I have to actually warm up my voice now before singing, but really, I should have been doing this all along (sorry vocal chords). But the resonance I can feel in my chest, the fact the sound I'm hearing out loud finally matches up with what I hear inside...there is nothing quite like it.

I picked this song because it's become very dear to me over the last few weeks and has been keeping me company on my yearnful journeys around London. I'm in love, I love this city, I love the autumn air sweeping in! And I love finally living as myself, accepting all this newfound love and joy as me, as Frankie and reaaaaally feeling it. Hope everyone is finding hope and happiness among the falling leaves too x x
